If you need a help in R&D activities, …
we share our state-of-the-art facilities with you.
Center for Integrated Nanotechnology Support (CINTS) is an interdisciplinary organization located in Office of Cooperative Research and Development, Tohoku University. It is closely linked to Nanotechnology Platform, Japan. CINTS offers a range of nanotechnology-related facilities in Tohoku University, covering MEMS, chemical syntheses, and structural characterization, to the researchers in academia and industries worldwide with a spirit of open innovation.
About CINTS
CINTS was launched in 2007 as an organization to support researchers in academia and industries by providing state-of-the-art nanotechnology facilities in Tohoku University. Openness is one of the “mottoes” of the university. To realize our goal, CINTS was placed in the office of R&D in the headquarter of the university. We support three fields, Nanofabrication(MEMS), Molecule&Material Synthesis, and Microstructural Characterization, with experienced researchers in Hands-on-access fabrication facility, Microsystem Research Center, Department of Science and WPI, and 100MV-TEM facilities and Institute for Materials Research, respectively.
CINTS is closely linked with Nanotechnology Platform (NP) of Japan, which was established under the auspices of Research Promotion Bureau of Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) in July 2012. It is also the only organization in Tohoku area, participating in this NP project.
CINTS offers two types of projects: open and classified. In the open projects, publication of a one-page long report is obligated within two years, and a public release of the outcome of the research, for example in the form of a scientific paper, is encouraged. In the classified projects, the R&D activities of the users will not be made public, but subject to additional charges. (here)
